According to CBS2, "Free frozen boneless chicken breast fillets will be available this Saturday, August 22nd."

The fillets will be available courtesy of Tyson Food and the Salvation Army in Cedar Rapids. If you would like to pick up a chicken breast, come out to 5824 Council Street, on the NE side of Cedar Rapids from 9 to 5 p.m. this Saturday, August 22nd.

Most of us lost everything in our fridge and freezer after the storm on Monday, August 10th. For me, it was really a bummer as I had just gone grocery shopping a few hours before the storm hit.

I lost everything in my fridge, but I'm happy to be alive and my home is still standing.  I'll be honest, I was pretty scared when it was happening.  In my 43 years on this planet, this was the worst storm I've ever seen.

The CBS2 story mentioned the Salvation Army is also accepting donations. You can send those donations to PO Box 8056, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52408. Please address the envelope to the Salvation Army of Cedar Rapids.

The frozen chicken breasts fillets will be available until the supplies last. To read the full story from CBS2, please visit this link.

We are very lucky to have the Salvation Army right here in Cedar Rapids to help folks out.
