Police in central Iowa have announced an arrest in a series of cases that date back nearly two years.

In a press release, the Ames Police Department says an arrest was made following an "extensive and ongoing investigation which started in May 2019." The arrest is centered around numerous incidents involving burglary and trespassing in two main areas of the city. Those were apartments in the 100 block of Campus Avenue as well as the 100 and 200 blocks of Hyland Avenue. Ames police say the incidents happened at apartments in those areas and involved "college-age females."
