Over the past week, Iowa has seen a drop in gas prices. Prices this week have fallen 2.7 cents per gallon, averaging $2.33 per gallon across 2,036 gas stations. KWWL reports that "according to GasBuddy price reports, the cheapest station in Iowa is priced at $2.09/g today while the most expensive is $2.77/g, a difference of 68.0 cents per gallon".

Iowa is also well below the national average of $2.50 per gallon, which has fallen 3.9 cents per gallon. This doesn't mean however, that you should rush to go fill up your tanks. KWWL's Daniel Winn reports that nearly every station nationwide will be dropping their prices over the next few days, but looking for the cheapest deals should still be at the top of your priority list.

While prices are lowering, Iowa's average is till higher than it was last year, which averaged $2.10 per gallon. To read the full report KWWL has the full story here.
