41 year old Doug Jensen, pictured above during the January 6th riot at the U.S. Capitol, has been released from prison after six months behind bars. His videotaped confrontation of police officials quickly became one of the lasting images from that day.

The Cedar Rapids Gazette reports that U.S. District Judge Timothy Kelly said that deciding whether to free Jensen was a "close call", but agreed to released the Des Moines resident on house arrest with electronic monitoring. The judge also barred Jensen from accessing the internet on any electronic device. Jensen was seen wearing a t-shirt with the letter 'Q', a sign of the QAnon conspiracy theory.

Prosecutors said that Jensen was a self-proclaimed "digital soldier" and a religious follower of QAnon. He traveled to Washington because he was "all about revolution" and achieved his mission to become a "poster boy" for the events at the Capitol that day, according to the Gazette. Jensen's lawyer says that after spending six months in a D.C. jail cell, he feels "deceived, recognizing that he bought into a pack of lies."

Jensen faces charges of civil disorder and assault, and resisting and impeding a law enforcement officer. His lawyer tried to buy a plane ticket for him, but was unable, leading them to believe that he has also been put on a national no fly list. The Gazette reports that very few of the over 500 people arrested for their parts in the riot remain locked up while they fight the charges against them.
