Did You Know One of America’s Best Family Vacations for 2024 is in Wisconsin?

It might be a little late in the season to start making massive Spring Break plans so you might need to focus on something for this summer.

Because my family and I are going on a bigger trip in March than in the summer we're probably doing something a bit more scaled back.

Last year we went to Florida during the spring and went to the Northwoods of Wisconsin later in the summer.

This year, we've got another trip planned for The Sunshine State but nothing planned later.

My wife and I talked about doing something a bit more low-key this summer for various boring money reasons and while disappointed at the prospects of a less fun vacation looming I am feeling better knowing one of the best for families is Wisconsin.

That's because a vacation destination in the Badger State was listed among the Best Family Vacations in the USA for 2024 according to U.S. News & World Report.

While Orlando, Yellowstone, and Washington D.C. rank one, two, and three on the chart, the seventh spot caught my eye.

Ranked in front of Disney Land in Anaheim, Destin, Lake Tahoe, and San Diego is Wisconsin Dells.

Known as "The Water Park Capital of the World," Wisconsin Dells makes for a great family vacation spot with plenty of things to do. Take your pick of splash-filled venues, from Noah's Ark Waterpark, the largest outdoor water park in the country; to Wilderness Resort, which boasts four indoor and four outdoor water parks. When you need a break on dry land, attend a magic show at Rick Wilcox Magic Theater or admire giraffes, tigers and sloths at Timbavati Wildlife Park.

It's been years since I've been to the Dells. Just thinking about the slides at Noah's Ark makes me want to book a room. Oh yeah, also getting something to eat at Paul Bunyan needs to be a top priority.
