Here in Iowa, we love our local pizza restaurants. Every town is dotted with its own beloved pizza joints.

When I lived in Decorah, it was all about Mabes.

When it comes to chains, most Iowans would lean towards Iowa's own Pizza Ranch or, if you can still find one, Happy Joe's.

But sometimes you're just in the mood for a good old delivery pizza.

Greasy, cheap... tasty.

The foodie site Eat This, Not That has ranked from worst to best popular delivery chains. And sitting at number one is an Iowa favorite.

Pizza Chains: Ranked

If chain delivery pizza is your go-to, you likely have a favorite.

For my wife, it's the tavern-style pizza from Pizza Hut. For me, and I admit I'm not a big pizza guy, it's anything cheesy from wherever the deal(s) are best. I'm cheap.

But what about the overall most popular? Eat This, Not This ranked 7 chain pizza joints from worst to best, and Iowa is home to all but the very worst on this list.

The 7, from worst to best, are...

7. Hungry Howie's (None in Iowa, or the Midwest for that matter)
6. Godfather’s Pizza
5. Marco’s Pizza
4. Papa Johns
3. Little Caesars
2. Pizza Hut

The Top Pizza Chain is Abundant in Iowa

The top spot went to... Domino's.

The site noted Domino's lower prices and good quality consistency when ranking them in the top spot.

There was also a lot of discussion about how much Domino's has improved in recent years while maintaining lower prices and a pretty strong foothold in the social media world...

Do you agree with Eat This, No That's Rankings? Personally, Domino's and Pizza Hut are my family's top two. I think they're both pretty solid, so no objections here.
