John Mayer Dances With Katy Perry’s Sharks, Defends Her Halftime Show, And WHAT!?

John Mayer guest-hosted The Late Late Show on Wednesday night, where he danced with the sharks featured in girlfriend Katy Perry’s Super Bowl halftime show and defended her performance.

John explained to guest Andy Cohen that he thinks people keep talking about Katy’s backup dancers because they aren’t comfortable admitting the pop star did a great job. “It’s like, you have nothing bad to say about the performance, do you? ’No, I don’t.’ Because if they did, you’d hear about it,“ he noted. “She made the internet a kind, gentle place for a day. It was awesome.“

The first thing I thought when I read his comments? He's just trying to get back together with Katy.

Then I read this: Mayer also confirmed that the two are indeed dating again. "Oh, by the way, I'm going to take a break talking about dancing sharks to just casually throw out there that I'm dating Katy Perry again."
