Rash of Burglaries in Black Hawk County

The Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office is urging residents to lock buildings and vehicles due to a rash of burglaries.

The Sheriff's Office has responded to a rash of burglaries over the last several weeks and is urging residents to take precautions to lock their homes, buildings, and vehicles. The burglaries have occurred throughout Black Hawk County and have primarily included machine sheds, farm buildings, and vehicles. Counties surrounding Black Hawk County have also been affected.

We are asking residents to take a few extra minutes to lock their property and to remain vigilant to any suspicious activity. Residents who believe they have any information regarding these crimes are encouraged to call the Investigative Division at 319-291-2587 (ext. 5123) but if the see any suspicious activity, immediately call the Communications Center at 319-291-2515.
