Black Hawk County's TestIowa site remains open this week, despite a previous announcement that it would close before Memorial Day weekend.

Local health officials said Thursday the site was being shut down on Friday and moving to Marshall County. On Friday, state officials decided to keep the Black Hawk County site open for at least another week.

Black Hawk County's TestIowa site is located at Crossroads Center in Waterloo. The hours of operation are 8 AM to 6 PM daily.

A TestIowa site will be operating in Marshall County later this week, even though Waterloo's site remains in operation. According to Iowa's online coronavirus dashboard, state officials plan to open a TestIowa site at Marshalltown Community College on Thursday and Friday. The scheduled hours of operation each day are noon-6 PM.

TestIowa is a statewide initiative to expand COVID-19 testing. Criteria now allows any Iowan to be tested, regardless of symptoms or potential exposure to the virus. To be tested, Iowans must first complete an assessment at testiowa.com and schedule an appointment at a test site.

A schedule of all sites, locations and times can be on coronavirus.iowa.gov.
