What’s the Most Impressive Thing in Iowa?
Take that Lombard Street.
There are so many things that Iowa has that is impressive. Whether it's Iowa's Largest Frying Pan in Brandon, The Future Birth Place of Captain James T. Kirk in Riverside, or Field of Dreams in Dyersville there is one more thing that Iowa has that trumps them all.
According to Mental Floss, they did a list of the most impressive things in each one of our great 50 states. For Iowa, the number one most impressive thing is Snake Alley in Burlington. The winding street was given the honor of being the "Crookedest Street in the World" according to Ripley's Believe it or Not. The street was built in the 1800's to help horses get up the hill that was too steep to climb.
Even looking at it from Google Maps looks like it would be a fun road to drive, bike or skate on.
