Anytime a Clinton does anything, the name "Monica Lewinsky" comes back up. Like it or not she's a pop-culture icon that will live on forever.

And just like your own dog, Monica isn't always a fan of the holiday that encourages people to dress up. She talks about becoming a ripped-from-the-headlines Halloween costume in her latest column for Vanity Fair, admitting that sometimes people assume she’s someone else who’s just dressing up as the White House’s most notorious intern.

“It’s the one day of the year when people seem to refrain from asking me, ’Are you Monica Lewinsky?’“ she writes about what happens every October 31. “Instead I hear, ’Great costume!’“

However, she adds that “instant-fame-to-costume transformation can be positive [if you] walk the fine line between clever and cruel.“
