Area Man Busted for Preventing 911 Call

A Northeast Iowa man has been taken into custody following an incident in Fayette County.

At about 1:30am Saturday, the Fayette County Sheriff received a 911 call, reporting a domestic disturbance in St. Lucas.

Following an investigation, 43-year-old Layne Upton of St. Lucas was arrested on a charge of Obstruction of Emergency Communications, which is a Simple Misdemeanor.
Upton was held in the Fayette County jail in West Union, for an initial court appearance.
