Employee Interrupts Burglary at Local Radio Station

Oelwein Police are looking for those responsible in breaking into the KOEL-AM studios building in the 2500 block of South Frederick Avenue in Oelwein.

Police were called after the perpetrators were interrupted by a station employee at about 4:30am this (Thursday) morning.

The suspect fled through an office window.

There was some damage to a window and a door, and it was found that a few items were stolen. Oelwein Police took a report of the attempted burglary and are continuing the investigation.
