A new poll has come out that shows Iowans haven't been too happy with Governor Kim Reynolds. This poll says that majority of Iowans do not want her to seek reelection when her current term comes to an end in November of 2022.

Majority of Iowans do not want current Governor Kim Reynolds to seek reelection, a new Des Moines Register/Mediacom Iowa Poll shows.

The poll, taken by 775 Iowa adults between March 7-10, shows that 52% say they hope that Reynolds doesn't seek reelect for a second full term as the Iowa Governor. 41% of people who took the survey say they hope she decides to run, while another 7% are unsure.

The Des Moines Register/Mediacom Iowa Poll also showed that Reynolds’ job approval has fallen 10% from 56% in June of 2020, to 46% now. This is the first time as governor that more Iowans disapprove of her job performance than approve. 47% of people disapprove her job performance, 7% were unsure.

Even thought majority of people who took this survey don't want her to seek reelection and majority of Iowans disapprove of her job performance, most Iowa Republican's want her to run again. The poll found that 80% of Iowa Republican's want the Governor to seek a second term.

86% of Iowa Republicans approve of Reynolds' job performance.

The Des Moines Register/Mediacom Iowa Poll reports that Reynolds' handling of the COVID-19 pandemic has been a main issue. 51% of those who took the survey say that they disapprove of the job she has done when it comes to the pandemic. 47% say they approve of her job with dealing with COVID-19, while 3% were unsure.
