You see, Daniel was an outsider -- and a New Yorker to boot -- who upset the apple cart at his new California high school.

He didn't really try to make friends other than a cute blonde girl, and he was obsessed with violence. Why else would he paint a fence, sand a floor, and wash a bunch of cars just so he could learn how to properly punch and kick people?

You do realize this is satire, yes? It's good satire though, so enjoy a nice reinterpretation of a classic!
