Iowa Police Are Writing Tickets For This Common Winter Problem
By now you've gotten used to seeing large amounts of snow on your vehicle. It's problem every winter, but this year it seems like it's snowed every single day. If you're fed up you are DEFINITELY not alone. I get up at 3:45 every day--the LAST thing I want to do that early is brush off snow.
But police are issuing a simple warning. Wipe off snow from your car's windows...or it could cost you.
Iowa State Patrol says if pulled over, drivers could be given a $50 fine for obstruction of vision. And even though driving with snow on the roof of your car isn't illegal, it is recommended to clean it off because of the risk blowing snow poses to other commuters.
This is a winter driving hazard that can easily be avoided. So be safe, give yourself extra time to get where you're going, and invest in a quality ice scraper. Might I suggest this?
