Burger King Picking Up Tab for Burger-King Wedding

Joel Burger and Ashley King are getting married this summer in Illinois, and are fully aware that their combined surnames have a lot in common with a certain fast-food franchise.

In fact, they recently reached out to Burger King’s corporate offices, to no avail. But a followup column in their local paper, the State Journal-Register, caught Burger King’s attention, and the restaurant chain has now agreed to pick up the entire tab for the couple’s wedding.

Burger King explains that they wanted to honor the couple’s union in an “unforgettable way.“ Mission accomplished, as the couple says they are “blown away“ by the chain’s generosity. I wonder who will be doing the catering.
