Deer Poacher Sentenced To Unusual Punishment
This might make him cry...but that's probably it. Here's "Crappy News" for Tuesday, December 18th, 2018.
Muncie, IN- A drunk driver came up with an odd defense.
28-year-old Michael Wayne Foster was speeding last Tuesday night and slammed his Jeep into a house. Five people wound up in the hospital, including Foster, his two passengers, and two people in the house.
Foster's friends told police that he was "chugging Fireball" leading up to the crash.
Foster admitted that he'd been drinking, but that wasn't the problem. No, he says the accident was caused by POOR QUALITY ROADS.
Shockingly, the cops chose to arrest Foster and not the Muncie Public Works department.
He faces nine charges, including OWI, public intoxication, leaving the scene of an injury accident, disorderly conduct, intimidation and resisting arrest. [FOX 59]
Grand Blanc, MI- A mom took drastic measures to help get her kid to school.
Crystal Towns was trying to wake up her 14-year-old son Zachary for school last week. Apparently it was a major struggle for them every day.
But on this day Crystal had had enough...and she wound up calling the COPS for help. More specifically, she called one of the school's resource officers and he actually came to the house, picked Zachary up, and drove him to school in the back of a patrol car.
Zachary summed things up the way only a 14-year-old can: "I'm pretty lazy; can't lie I like to sleep in."
Crystal said she feels good about what she did and would do it again if necessary. [NBC 25 - Flint]
Ozarks, MO- A hunter was handed a bizarre punishment.
David Berry, Jr. was sentenced to one year in jail for illegally killing hundreds of deer.
Prosecutors say the deer were trophy bucks taken illegally for their heads, leaving the bodies of the deer to waste.
In addition to his jail time, a judge also ordered Berry to watch the movie Bambi at least once a month for the duration of his sentence.
Berry, along with his father and two brothers were also linked to several other deer poaching operations, and had their hunting, fishing and trapping licenses revoked. [KCRG]
