From Dropout To Doctor: Kanye West Receives Honorary PhD 

Kanye West received an honorary doctorate from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago on Monday for his “transformative, genre-defying work.“

The now Dr. Kanye West wore a cape and gown to accept his diploma alongside students who actually earned their degrees, and gave a speech in which he admitted that finishing his education would’ve made it easier for him to pursue his goals. Kanye attended the institute for one semester.

Meanwhile, his wife Kim Kardashian took to Instagram to share a photo of him at the ceremony and captioned it, ““Dr. Kanye West!!!!!!! I’m so proud of you baby & I know your mom would be so proud too!!!!“
