Judge Allows Woman to Serve Husband With Divorce Papers Via Facebook
What happens when you can’t track down the man you want to divorce in order to serve him with the proper paperwork?
This is the quandary a New York judge faced in ruling that Ellanora Baidoo could serve her estranged husband, Victor Sena Blood-Dzraku, with divorce papers via Facebook.
After tying the knot in 2009, the pair neither consummated their marriage nor lived together, staying in touch via--you guessed it!--social media. Eventually, Blood-Dzraku became ultra-elusive, with a private investigator unable to identify his whereabouts. Hence, the Facebook divorce -- and the ensuing status updates -- will legally commence.
