Denton, TX- A flight was diverted because of a game of footsie.
29-year-old Justin Brafford was aboard a Southwest Airlines flight headed to Dallas on Tuesday.
A woman in the seat next to him claimed he put his arm on her leg as the plane was getting ready to take off, and repeatedly tried to play footsie with her.
The flight attendant notified the pilot, who made an emergency stop in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Brafford told police that he and the woman had been watching videos on her computer and that he thought she was flirting with him, though he may have "misread" the situation. He also admitted to using meth the day before and told agents that God had been talking to him during the flight.
Brafford faces a misdemeanor assault charge and a felony count of interference with a flight crew. [Dallas News]
Portland, OR- A family is seeking a stolen schnoz.
The Albert family said the 2-foot-tall, 50-pound sculpture, which they rescued from being thrown in the trash, was taken--or was it picked?--from their porch last Sunday.
Last year, the Alberts decorated the nose for Halloween, placing a candy bucket under each nostril. The family has put up posters throughout their neighborhood in hopes that someone brings back their beloved scultpure.
Sayre Albert and his 7-year-old sister, Dylan, are offering a $6.27 reward for the nose's safe return. They said their mom rejected the initial idea of a $2,000 reward. [UPI]
Simpsonville, SC- This dude got too mouthy with his ex.
23-year-old Seth Fleury met up with his ex in October 2017 to discuss their relationship. Fleury reportedly got upset when his former flame didn’t want to get back together. He tried to kiss her and she tried pulling away...but he wouldn't let go.
Police say Fleury bit down on her bottom lip with such force that it became detached. Doctors were unable to reattach her lip during "emergency plastic surgery."
As a result, the victim suffered permanent scarring and limited range of motion in her mouth. Fleury pleaded guilty to assault and aggravated battery and was sentenced to 12 years in jail. [Fox News]
