TV may not be the most popular babysitting technology in existence anymore.

A survey of 350 mostly low-income families at a Philadelphia hospital reveals that three out of four children under the age of 4 have been given their own mobile device by their parents.

Moreover, a third of these kids frequently use more than one device at the same time.

“If children are sitting by themselves glued to digital candy, we simply don’t know what the consequences are for their early social development,” one Temple University psychiatry professor told The New York Times, while a University of Washington pediatrics professor added, “Children need laps more than apps.”

None of this is fair. When I was 4 I didn't have "digital candy". I had to settle for regular candy.....and this:
