History teacher Alex Angell was placed on administrative leave after a video taken by a student showed Angell holding the weapon over his shoulder while explaining how it was used.

One student said that Angell has an assortment of artifacts in his classroom, including a medieval shield and a backpack from World War I. Another student commented that Angell had shown the bazooka in class at least once before but never used it in a threatening way. Students and parents are concerned about Mr. Angell being on leave during AP Exam prep. A substitute teacher has been filling in for the past few weeks.

The school district is still investigating. [BerkeleySide.com]

Police attempted to stop a driver for speeding last Tuesday. Paul Smith refused to stop his vehicle and led the cops on a brief pursuit. Smith eventually got out of the car and fled on foot into a nearby swamp.

Body camera footage showed a police dog locating Smith in the swamp, where he was submerged up to his neck in thick mud. It took several officers to pull Smith out from the muck.

Police discovered that Smith was wanted in a neighboring county. He was charged with fleeing to elude, aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and a probation violation. [UPI]

Terrell Davis, who goes by the hip-hop name Ralo, was arrested last Sunday at DeKalb-Peachtree Airport. Authorities confiscated roughly 440 pounds of marijuana from a private plane. The pot was valued at more than $840,000.

Following the arrest, an apartment complex owned by Ralo was raided by the FBI and ATF, and agents from the Department of Homeland Security. The rapper was initially hit with a charge of conspiracy to commit a felony, but it was later dropped.

Ralo is also connected to a separate incident in December, involving the seizure of 520 pounds of marijuana. [XXL]

I'm not exactly familiar with Mr. Ralo's work, but where there's smoke, there's usually fire. And where there's 1,000 pounds of weed, there's usually a lot of smoke.
