Stoner Tries To Pay For McDonald’s With Weed
Hey...when you've got the munchies you'll do what you've got to do. This is "Crappy News" for Thursday, December 20th, 2018.
Farmington, IL- A drug deal gone wrong resulted in an Amber Alert.
The alert was issued after a report that three men had stolen a car with a 13-month-old baby in the back seat from a gas station.
Police questioned Mitchell Dutz, who reported the stolen vehicle. The cops quickly realized that Dutz's story was a hoax--he'd made the whole thing up because he'd been robbed during a drug deal and wanted police to catch the perpetrators.
No car was stolen and no child was abducted.
Dutz is being charged with residential burglary, filing a false police report, false representation of a police statement, and making a false 911 call. [Peoria Journal Star]
Waverly, OH- An escaped inmate is back behind bars...after going for a dip.
The 34-year-old woman allegedly fled from police custody on Tuesday, while being booked for heroin possession.
She was captured a few hours later when a 911 caller reported the suspect was sitting in a hot tub at the activity center of a senior living community about 60 miles away. Even stranger, the woman was still wearing her prison-issued uniform.
Cops are still investigating how the inmate got there. She's being charged with felony escape on top of the original count of drug possession. [Yahoo News]

Port St. Lucie, FL- A man was arrested for trying to trade marijuana for food.
Police were called to a McDonald's early Sunday morning (or late Saturday night, depending on how wild you are) after an employee said a man pulled into the drive-thru lane and tried to exchange a bag of pot for food.
The employee refused and the car drove away. Police saw 23-year-old Anthony Gallagher return to the drive-thru and detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from his car. Cops found a small amount of weed inside the vehicle.
Gallagher was charged with DUI and possession of marijuana under 20 grams. [TC Palm]
