Police caught the culprit, who had been burglarizing homes that were evacuated due to volcanic activity on Hawaii's Big Island. A resident called 911 after returning home to get some of his belongings and spotting the suspect leaving the residence.

The same person has been linked to a separate burglary in the area. Police have allowed residents to check in on their properties when it's been declared safe to do so. Many locals have refused to leave for fear of being looted. [New York Post]

Winter Haven, FL- A guy was arrested for trying to conceal his a storage bin.

48-year-old John Carr attempted to hide his girlfriend, 39-year-old Krystle Lee Anderson, from police. Anderson had a warrant out for her arrest, and authorities spotted Carr trying to cram her inside of a large plastic storage tote. It's worth pointing out that Anderson has no legs, so this task would be A BIT more manageable.

Anderson lost her legs after a police shootout in 2015, and she failed to appear in court following the incident. Carr has been charged with resisting arrest and other charges are pending. [Lakeland Ledger]

How far was this about to go? Was he just going to put her on a shelf in the garage with the Christmas decorations?
