Woman Convicted Of Murder May Have Served Victim’s Remains At Barbecue
This is a crime you may--or may not--want to sink your teeth into. Here's "Crappy News" for Monday, May 14th.
Leilani Estates, HI- A man has been arrested for some lava-related looting.
Police caught the culprit, who had been burglarizing homes that were evacuated due to volcanic activity on Hawaii's Big Island. A resident called 911 after returning home to get some of his belongings and spotting the suspect leaving the residence.
The same person has been linked to a separate burglary in the area. Police have allowed residents to check in on their properties when it's been declared safe to do so. Many locals have refused to leave for fear of being looted. [New York Post]
I get the fear of being robbed, but I'd be much more afraid of being MELTED BY LAVA.
Winter Haven, FL- A guy was arrested for trying to conceal his girlfriend...in a storage bin.
48-year-old John Carr attempted to hide his girlfriend, 39-year-old Krystle Lee Anderson, from police. Anderson had a warrant out for her arrest, and authorities spotted Carr trying to cram her inside of a large plastic storage tote. It's worth pointing out that Anderson has no legs, so this task would be A BIT more manageable.
Anderson lost her legs after a police shootout in 2015, and she failed to appear in court following the incident. Carr has been charged with resisting arrest and other charges are pending. [Lakeland Ledger]
How far was this about to go? Was he just going to put her on a shelf in the garage with the Christmas decorations?
Lake County, IN- A woman who injected her husband with a lethal dose of heroin before smothering him with a pillow may be responsible for nine other deaths.
34-year-old Kelly Cochran was sentenced to 65 years in prison last month after admitting to murdering her husband, Jason Cochran. She was already serving a life sentence for killing and dismembering another lover, Chris Regan, and her neighbors believe she may have been served some of his remains at a barbecue.
Police also suspect Cochran of at least nine other killings throughout the Midwest. Cochran is the subject of an upcoming documentary on Investigation Discovery called Dead North, set to air May 28 and 29. [Indianapolis Star]
